"Ohhh" I moaned, bouncing up and down on top of a box of my stuff.
I can't believe I had to ride in the moving truck! I thought unhappily.
After what seemed like an eternity I felt the truck slowing down. A crack of light appeared and the door was pulled back. I quickly hopped out of that hellhole.
"Hi Maybelle! Wasn't it nice that the movers let you ride in the truck?" my mom greeted me by my full name, my baby brother Bruce in her arms.

I was trying to fly when I saw him. This may sound odd to you, you may think I am insane. I assure you that I am not. My wings were small, just developing as I entered my teenage years. I was able to hover only a few inches off the ground and was trying to go higher. I had chosen to practice under the willow because of the cover and the fact that it seemed to have a magical presence. But he saw me. I had just made it almost a foot above the ground. I felt eyes on me and immediately turned around, losing my focus and crashing to the ground. I looked up and saw those deep brown eyes that will haunt me forever. There was nothing special about him, except that he had ventured to the willow when no-one else seemed to even see it.
|I'm a 15 year old girl from New Jersey. I'm a much better author/poet then I am an artist, but I still try for some reason. I love music, I play the flute and sing a little too. I love almost all animals, especially dogs. I have a 9 year old male Chessie and Yates, the dog we were raising for the seeing eye, just went back recently.|
